Wednesdays at 10:30 AM
Ages: Toddlers – Preschoolers (infants also welcome)
Join us on Wednesday mornings for an interactive center-based storytime. Come play and explore for the first 15 minutes with our variety of age-appropriate toys and activities. Next we transition to a fun storytime with books, finger plays, music and movement activities. Can’t sit still? Don’t worry, your child can keep playing in the children’s area and join us as they are ready. We will finish up with a craft and snack. Can’t make it at this time? Make sure to stop in and check-out our Do-It-Yourself Storytime Center with books to read to your child with the coordinating learning activity.
Wednesdays on early-out days from 1:30 – 3:00 PM
Ages: EK – Up
Our Early-Out Program provides programming for children, tweens and teens on early-out Wednesdays. We have a variety of activities from games, movies, crafts, Legos and more. We also perform a Reader’s Theater in December for Christmas on Main and have a Talent Show in the spring before school is out.
Registration is required, and transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

This year we are working with 6th graders who wish to compete in the Battle of the Books competition held at the Ames Public Library. We meet on planned early-out Wednesdays during the school year with the competition scheduled for Spring of 2018. If interested please contact the Director.
